Laser cleaning can evaporate the oxide layer and effectively remove it. Keslon laser cleaning uses a unique beam homogenizer (for mold cleaning) that can be used in the 200W range for more uniform laser emission. If the surface of the material is coated (especially when the coating material is nickel), the laser will not damage the coating.
